What is a solar assisted heat pump?

A solar assisted heat pump (SAHP) is a hot‑water heating system that combines a heat pump with a solar absorbing panel to capture heat from both sunlight and the surrounding air, making it far more efficient than heating water with electricity alone. It’s designed primarily for domestic hot water rather than whole‑home heating, and it works even in cloudy or nighttime conditions thanks to its ability to draw heat from ambient air.

SAHPs are aimed at helping to resist climate change and reduce energy consumption through the development of advanced environmentally friendly energy saving products.

SAHPs have been made for over 40 years and ART Renewables are applying this advanced understanding of heat pump technologies in the development of highly innovative and superior hot water systems that are manufactured in the UK.

We use a globally approved, award-winning SAHP product range that been designed and built to last.
